Dani
Dani Worthman has lived in Colorado as long as she’s been dancing—since the age of two. She studied mainly under her mother’s direction until the age of 11 when she began dancing competitively with Shelly True Dance Academy and continued dancing competitively through high school. During this time she also worked as a dance captain for Magic Moments Productions, taught dance workshops at local summer camps, and co—instructed at Red Rocks Community College. Dani continued on to dance intermittently during the time she studied abroad in Croatia as well as through attaining her Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Colorado Denver. Dani now teaches adult Tap at Gravity Dance Collective, studies at the studio 4 days per week, and is proud to be Assistant Creative Director of Esmé Dance Company.
Courtney
Courtney started dancing at the age of 3 in Dover, Ohio at Dancing Side by Side Stuido. She continued her study of ballet, tap, and jazz throughout high school and competed in many competitions in the Midwest. Upon entering Kent State University, Courtney continued taking dance classes for college credit and began teaching at a local studio. Dance has always been an integral part of Courtney's life and she was honored to join Esmé in the summer of 2015.
Shannon
Shannon Worthman is a Colorado native and found Esmé through her older sister, Danielle. Growing up, Shannon was exposed to dance through theater and her mother’s instruction. Tagging along with her mom and sister since she could walk, Shannon has been dancing since the age of 5. From age 11 to 14, she danced competitively for Shelly True Dance Academy. At age 14, Shannon started training at Kim Robards, focusing mainly on ballet and modern dance styles. Shannon has managed to continue dancing throughout high school. She currently is an assistant teacher at Gravity Dance Collective and trains four days each week herself. She is drawn to Esmé because of the group’s uplifting mission and the passionate individuals on company.
